PlayOn Space is a customized Indoor Playground project delivered by Yommi Play in Fort McMurray, Canada, designed for children aged 3–14. The client’s goal was clear from the beginning: to create a science-fiction–themed indoor play centre that could stand out in the local market while serving families year-round. Beyond visual appeal, the project needed to balance child engagement, parent comfort, and sustainable operation, supporting birthday parties and casual visits.
Yommi Play responded with a 980 sqm customised indoor playground solution that prioritises clear circulation and family-friendly zoning from a visitor’s perspective. Upon entering, guests are welcomed into a parent lounge and bar counter area, creating an immediate sense of comfort and supervision. Right next to this space sits the toddler soft-play zone, allowing parents to relax while keeping young children within sight. Moving further inside, visitors step into the main play area, where high-energy attractions are concentrated. A dedicated arcade zone is set apart to avoid interference with physical play, while several private party rooms are accessed from the opposite side of the parent lounge, ensuring smooth traffic flow during peak hours and events.
Toddler Soft Play Area: Soft-padded structures, gentle slides, and crawl spaces provide a safe environment for early motor development. Parents often observe toddlers gaining confidence as they explore independently while remaining close by.
Rainbow Net Walkway: Suspended net paths add vertical movement and challenge balance and coordination. Children enjoy the feeling of height in a controlled, enclosed structure, making it both exciting and secure.
Dry Ski Slide: The dry ski slide delivers fast, repeatable thrills without weather limitations, combining speed with a soft landing design for safe enjoyment.
Transparent Climbing Wall: The see-through climbing wall builds strength and problem-solving skills while allowing parents and staff to monitor children easily from multiple angles.
Since opening, PlayOn Space has shown strong operational performance, with party bookings and family visits steadily increasing. The combination of a dining area and well-designed party rooms supports higher per-visit spending and longer stays. All equipment complies with international safety standards, using certified materials, impact-absorbing surfaces, and clear sightlines for supervision.
